Cantrips (at will): *Minor Illusion*, *Prestidigitation*, *Druidcraft*

Using *Fear* and *Hypnotic Pattern* strategically allows her to manipulate the emotions and actions of her opponents during encounters, keeping them unsettled and disoriented.

Actions & Abilities

Multiattack: Vyraele makes two attacks: one with Fey Dagger and one with Whispers of the Wilds.

Fey Dagger: Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2d8 + 5 piercing damage. Additionally, the target must make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw. On a failure, the target takes an additional 3d6 psychic damage and is unable to regain hit points until the end of its next turn.

Whispers of the Wilds: Wisdom Save DC 15. Vyraele chooses a creature she can see within 60 feet. The target must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened until the end of their next turn, haunted by echoing illusions of lost memories. While frightened, the target is at disadvantage on saving throws against spells cast by Vyraele.

Enchanted Mist (Recharge 5-6): Vyraele summons Fey Mist, filling a 30-foot radius around her for 1 minute. This area obscures vision and players inside must make a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, they become lost within an illusionary maze, spending their turns wandering aimlessly. Affected players can repeat the saving throw at the end of their turns, ending the effect on a success.

Nature’s Embrace (Bonus Action): Vyraele can conceal one ally within the foliage, granting them advantage on their next attack roll or ability check. Alternatively, she can create a barrier of vines in a 20-foot radius around herself, requiring creatures entering or ending their turn there to make a DC 15 Strength saving throw or be restrained until they break free.

Charm of the Feral Flora: When Vyraele takes damage, she can use her reaction to charm a creature within 60 feet. The target must make a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, the charmed creature views Vyraele as a trustworthy ally for 1 minute. The charmed target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Illusory Shift: Vyraele can create an illusory duplicate of herself in an unoccupied space she can see within 30 feet. The duplicate lasts until it is hit or until she dismisses it as a bonus action.

Flicker Away: Vyraele can disengage and teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space she can see.

Illusionary Terrain: The terrain within 60 feet of Vyraele’s location shifts into an illusionary form. Creatures within this area must succeed on a DC 15 Intelligence saving throw or become disoriented, imposing disadvantage on attacks and ability checks until the start of their next turn.

Entangling Vines: Vines erupt from the ground in a 20-foot radius centered on a point Vyraele can see. Creatures in that area must make a DC 15 Strength saving throw or be restrained until they succeed on the saving throw at the end of their turns.

Whispering Winds: A magical wind sweeps through, carrying echoed voices of laughter and sorrow. Each creature of Vyraele’s choice within 60 feet must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or take 3d6 psychic damage and be blinded until the end of their next turn.

Tactical Information

Vyraele, the Cunning Fey Trickster: Combat and Narrative Behavior

Behavior in Day-to-Day Life

Vyraele thrives in the captivating chaos of the Whispering Wilds, a realm teeming with floral bursts of color and the serene rustle of ancient trees. In her day-to-day existence, she is an embodiment of mischief and charm, often seen flitting about the glade playing pranks on unsuspecting creatures or guiding wayward souls through the illusionary landscapes that echo her unpredictable nature.

Her motivations are twofold: she craves companionship but is haunted by the specters of her lost memories, making her friendly interactions both alluring and treacherous. She displays a playful spirit, often engaging with forest animals, coaxing flowers to bloom, or weaving her magic into the tapestry of the glade. Her cunning nature draws her to explore the hidden secrets of the flora, employing her powers to observe and manipulate the wildlife that dwell alongside her.

Though she thrives on these vibrant interactions, Vyraele’s demeanor can quickly darken if she senses a threat to her domain or if outsiders venture too close to her wellspring of magic. When she perceives intruders, her playful demeanor shifts to one of calculated vigilance, using her gifts of deception to lure and confuse them, all the while protecting the sacred grounds of the woods.

Combat Behavior

In combat, Vyraele demonstrates the duality of her nature—an enchanting performer who turns deadly at a moment’s notice. She initiates combat with a mischievous flourish, possibly teasing adventurers with playful taunts that mask her intent to ensnare them. When hostility arises, her dance begins; she twirls through the air with grace, surrounded by illusory duplicates of herself, leading opponents into a confusion of choices and missed strikes.

Her combat strategy hinges on evasion and psychological manipulation. When foes close in, she utilizes Illusory Duplication to sow chaos among them, observing their reactions with glee as they strike at phantoms. In these moments, she maintains her distance, darting between trees and fey flora, using the Nature’s Embrace ability to hide and set traps for those who dare pursue her.

Vyraele focuses on exploiting weaknesses—identifying spellcasters or those she knows to be formidable—and can use Whispers of the Wilds to instill fear within them. If the tide of battle turns against her, she may retreat into a Fey Mist, creating an opportunity to disappear and reorient, using her local knowledge to create an advantage from the shadows.

When cornered, Vyraele becomes more desperate. She can unleash Charm of the Feral Flora, attempting to turn one of her foes against the others. If her illusions and confusing tactics start to crumble, she will not hesitate to weave a hasty escape, utilizing the terrain to her advantage, leaving whispers of laughter echoing in her wake as she fades away.

Roleplay/Narrative Interactions

In non-combat encounters, Vyraele embodies the cunning allure of the Feywild. Adventurers may meet her first as nothing more than a melody drifting through the branches, beckoning them deeper into the forest. She communicates through whimsical riddles and playful banter, often concealing the true nature of her intentions with layers of charm and allure.

Vyraele is curious and sociable but holds a deep-seated mistrust for intruders. If approached diplomatically, she engages in conversation that ebbs and flows with an enchanting rhythm, weaving tales of the glade’s wonders and its hidden perils. She might be persuaded to offer assistance, but only if the adventurers amuse her or demonstrate a respect for the secrets of the forest. Gifts of flowers or sparkling trinkets can sway her mood, enticing her to reveal a clue or guide them safely through the woods.

However, if she feels threatened or the adventurers are aggressive, her capricious nature transforms. She can shift from playful host to cunning adversary in an instant. If cornered, Vyraele may resort to deception—fading into the shadows with illusions to escape, or challenging the adventurers to a game of wit or magic, daring them to prove their worth in a dance or riddle contest.

Ultimately, Vyraele serves as a reminder that beneath the lighthearted charm of the Feywild lies a twisted core of complexity; her interactions are layered with possibility, reflecting her struggle to engage with others while remaining an elusive guardian of her enchanted realm.
